A: If you are a student or faculty/staff member your 'Login' is your Fredonia ID Number.

If you are a parent or friend, who has been granted access to a student's account, your 'Login' is your complete email address.

Q: What is the difference between Debit Account and FREDFunds?
A: The SUNY Fredonia Debit Account and FREDFunds are both pre-paid declining balance accounts where transactions are subject to New York State Sales Tax. To help you better understand the differences between the existing SUNY Fredonia Debit Account and the new FREDFunds please compare and contrast the pros and cons associated with each tender below.

Q: Can I transfer money from my SUNY Fredonia Debit Account to my FREDFunds or use my Debit Account off campus?
A: Funds are not transferrable from the SUNY Fredonia Debit Account as any account which contains state and federal financial aid funds cannot be applied to off campus accounts such as FREDFunds.

Q: Can I use my meal plan off campus?
A: Meal Plans are exempt from New York State sales tax through a contract for on premise consumption only. Use of meal plans off campus would be a deviation from a traditional “room and board” therefore disqualify meal plans for tax exemption. Therefore traditional meal plans can not be used off campus.

Q: How much does my FREDCard cost?
A: Your initial and first lost FREDCard are provided to you free of charge; After that there is a $20.00 replacement fee.

Q: Where can I get a replacement FREDCard if I lose mine?
A: You can obtain a replacement FREDCard from the FSA Office in Gregory Hall during normal business hours or the Convenience Store in University Commons on nights and weekends.

A: There is a minimum of $15.00 and a maximum of $500.00 per deposit.

A: Click on "Register Now" near the login button and complete the form. A password will be emailed to you.

A: Your "ID Number" is the generated ID assigned to you by SUNY Fredonia. You may obtain your generated ID by logging into "Your Connection".

Q: How do I obtain a SUNY Fredonia Debit Account?
A: If you have a FREDCard, you already have a SUNY Fredonia Debit Account, all you have to do is deposit funds into the account.

A: You can deposit funds (as low as $15.00 at a time) into your SUNY Fredonia Debit Account by using "Make a Deposit" link on this website or stopping by the FSA Office located in Gregory Hall.

A: Any funds remaining in your SUNY Fredonia Debit Account will continue to roll over from semester-to-semester and year-to-year.

Q: How can I get a refund for any remaining funds in my SUNY Fredonia Debit Account?
A: A refund of any unused balance over $10.00, can be requested only at the end of the academic year, or upon separation from SUNY Fredonia. Your request for a refund must be sent in writing to FSA, PO Box 286, Fredonia, New York 14063-0286 within 90 days after the end of the academic year or separation from SUNY Fredonia.

Q: Why do I receive an email every day telling me my balance is low?
A: If you have indicated you would like an email to be sent when your balance is low, the email will be sent daily for as long as your balance is under the designated amount. You may Login into your account and make modifications by visiting "Low Balance Warning" in the Personalize section of the page.
